Our Story
Tasmanian Mountain Bike Adventures is a family-owned business based in South Hobart, in southern Tasmania.
We offer a wide range of tours and services for riders of every level.
Our shop is situated at the base of Mt Wellington in South Hobart, just 5 minutes from a network of awesome trails. Our staff, minibuses, and bike trailers are a familiar sight on the roads and trails of the mountain, as we enable thousands of people every year to experience mountain biking on Mt Wellington.
We also run personalised multi-day tours take guests all over our beautiful state, dropping into some of Australia's finest trails.
Dream to Reality
Company owners, Zoe and Phil Exton, launched the business in 2017. Phil has decades of experience riding trails in Tasmania and overseas, and it was his dream to set up a mountain bike tour business.
The arrival of Blue Derby was the game changer, and they decided to go for it. Phil left his job as a school principal, and Tasmanian Mountain Bike Adventures was born.
In late 2025, we set up a shop front across the road from our home office. We are loving this new rider hub and the increased connection it gives us with the community.
