  Great experience . Don’t miss it  - Well organised and informative . Leaders were very responsive to the different fitness and experience levels . That said, the whole tour can be done with very little peddling if desired.

  Unimpressed, description misleading!  - While visiting Hobart, as part of a cruise vacation, I participated in what was described/titled an easy mountain bike ride. Earlier this month we signed up for the downhill... read more ride from Mount Wellington.   

The guide was very professional and pleasant, although didn't provide much commentary as described in the marketing material. In addition, "my opinion", guide wasn't entirely focused on the "full groups" varying levels of mountain bike cycling experience or abilities (especially during inclement weather).  For example, when we reached the top of Mount Wellington (high winds, very cold, snow and sleet), not ideal for the start of a bike ride adventure. 

In addition, he seemed focused on staying up with the "youngest (twenty something or younger rider)" in a competition of skills
rather than with the other five middle aged participants.

The website advertising is a misleading in terms of the reality of what the ride really entails, particularly as it relates to skill levels. Quite frankly the inclement weather, trail conditions, etc . and the guide should've made the call to suspend or change the "adventure" to other trails due to the muddy, slippery trails, which were not conducive or safe.

During my adventure I took two hard falls due to the conditions of the trails (muddy, wet. slippery) and was very fortunate not to seriously injure myself other than a few scratches, cuts and legs bloodied as a result of the falls.  Once the weather improved, and near the end of the excursion, the guide suggested I walk the remainder of the "adventure" due to the 28 upcoming hairpin curves.  I did as he suggested.  He was kind enough to come back and pick me up at the reservoir, but the whole experience was a bad one and frankly a waste of my $100+. 

I strongly suggest your skill levels be grear and that the companies website/descriptions be updated with a few of the concerns noted above.

From therewe were... read more to ride down on the mountain bikes that were supplied. Unfortunatly The weather turned when we reached the top and it turned into blizzard conditions. A descission was made to drive us back down about 1000 ft and make a start. The rest to the ride was great and the lower sloops took us through the rain forrest. That was amazzing and it ended with us coming down a newly made switch track. 28 turns on a narrow track. Richard instructed on the best way to make the turns and we all got down safely. Would recommend this outing

She even refunded the extra summit fee as we couldn’t fit that in anymore. Bikes and helmets were great. Would definitely recommend. We just rode on our own, and trails weren’t busy at all. Our guides were wonderful, friendly and very informative about the local flora, fauna and history.
The tracks are suitable for a variety of levels but if you haven’t ridden a bike off sealed roads, it can take some getting used to but once again our guides gave us hints and tips on riding throughout the course.
I would definitely recommend this experience to any visitor of Hobart

The mt wellington start was a real treat, brilliant views - very cold and rich had brought extra warm gear which was essential! The rainforest section and later sections ensured a real variety of views, terrain and history.

  Best experience in Tassie!  - There had been a big dump of snow overnight and we were excited about it but also concerned we wouldn’t be able to ride from the top.
We turned... read more up to check in and our pre measured bikes were labelled and ready to go. As anticipated, the summit was closed so we rode a 10km forest ride from Fern Tree, which was beautiful and it certainly warmed us up! By the time we returned to the van, the summit was open and we headed up there with the masses. The view was glorious. So clear, white and fresh (the temp “felt like” -7 degrees 🥶). The professional decision was made that it was too dangerous to ride due to patches of black ice and heavy traffic. The party of 7 agreed.
We drove to a location further down the mountain and enjoyed a guided downhill bush ride all the way back to the office.

Our family group of 3 (54, 52 & 17th) was thrilled with the tour and knowledgeable tour-guide, Richard, and very grateful to even see the summit. We’re keen to do it again, next time we visit Tassie.

  Fantastic experience throughout!  - Booked a day hire and shuttle up to Mount Wellington summit to ride the North-South track, and our experience was excellent from booking to riding. We got helpful and clear... read more information whilst booking (last minute on our end), then a friendly welcome from Rich and Phil when we turned up. Rich fitted the bikes to us and gave us clear instructions and explained things when we asked questions about dual suspensions bikes as we hadn’t ridden these before. In the shuttle to the summit, Rich was full of facts and info about the mountain and showed us where the north-south track started so we didn’t miss the turn off on our descent. All in all, a fantastic experience!

  Fun, exciting ride without too much physical effort. Perfect for a guy in his 50s.  - A very exciting ride through beautiful country. Best bit was not having to exert myself but still have the adrenaline pumping sometimes as we rode down the slopes.
