Children must be comfortable on a bike with good basic bike handling skills.
Under 18s must always be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Our smallest bikes are suitable for riders above 125cm tall.
Because of the traffic on the summit road, parents often decide that the summit road descent ride is not suitable for their child. In these instances, kids can skip the summit road and come down in the bus. We always have a conversation with parents about safely riding the summit road.
The second ride, through the rainforest, is child-friendly, 95% of the ride is in the forest. The final 1km of the ride is residential street, and juniors can ride on the path with their parent.
Arrive at our South Hobart shop 30 minutes before the tour's scheduled start time.
On arrival you'll receive helmet, gloves, ride briefing, and introduction to the bike.
You'll be riding a lightweight mountain bike with front suspension. It has modern geometry, powerful brakes, and is fitted with premium components. An ideal bike for this ride.

The bikes we provide have a bottle holder. A 750ml bottle with a diameter of 8cm will fit snugly.

We had an amazing tour with our guide Rich, he was great at making us feel confident and tailoring our tour to our abilities. We booked a mount Wellington summit decent and rainforest adventure ride. The views at the top were phenomenal all be it a little chilly but they provided us with additional jackets if we needed them. Rich kept us safe on the decent following behind in the van. Rich then joined us for the rainforest adventure giving a guided tour and excellent commentary of the ride. We even saw a wallaby !! We would highly recommend this tour for all abilities as long as you can ride a bike. The bikes were very well maintained and all gear provided was in great shape. Thanks again for the fantastic day outPosted on Google![]()

My husband and I wanted to have a memorable end to our honeymoon by mountain biking the North South Track and we couldn’t speak more highly of the experience provided by Rich and Zoe. They were so easy to communicate with and provided everything we would need (even when we didn’t pack appropriately) to have an amazing experience including bike hire (the e-bikes are so worth it for the non-guided tours), jackets, gloves, maps and a lift to the top of Mount Wellington. Highly recommend booking with them if you are looking for a bit more adventure to add to your Hobart trip.Posted on Google![]()

Five Stars! Exceptional experience—highly recommend! We had a remarkable experience with Zoe and Phil! Zoe is an absolute superstar organiser. We had a tight schedule with another activity booked right after our ride, and she coordinated our timing perfectly so we arrived right on time without feeling rushed. Phil was a fantastic guide for our Mt. Wellington summit descent. He made sure we felt safe and well looked after the entire time. Instead of rushing us, he stopped often to show us incredible spots and share great local information as we rode through beautiful trails and lush rainforest. This 4-hour guided tour is perfect for everyone. You don't need to be a seasoned cyclist—beginners can easily do this and have an amazing time. Thank you, Phil and Zoe!Posted on Google![]()
