Along the way, look out for wombats, wallabies, Wedge-tailed Eagles and White-bellied Sea Eagles.
After your ride, unwind at the award-winning Bangor Vineyard Shed with exceptional cool-climate wines, locally sourced produce and stunning views before returning to Hobart in the late afternoon.

Itinerary
Your day begins with a 75 minute scenic transfer from Hobart to the Forestier Peninsula, home to a remarkable 4,000-hectare private estate owned by the Dunbabin family, a seventh-generation Tasmanian farming family.
After being fitted to your premium mountain bike (regular or electric), you'll join your local guide and explore a network of easy cross-country trails through a diverse landscape of rolling farmland, native bush, beach, forest, and dramatic coastline.

Abel Tasman Monument Ride

Follow a scenic trail to the Abel Tasman Monument, marking Dutch explorer Abel Tasman's historic landing at nearby Tasman Bay in 1642.
Lagoon Bay Ride

Ride through coastal bushland to the pristine shores of Lagoon Beach and continue to the rugged headland of Cape Frederick Hendrick, where sweeping ocean views await.
Blackmans Bay Ride

This scenic coastal ride follows a quiet dirt road along the shores of Blackmans Bay, winding past grazing paddocks, tranquil wetlands, native forest, button grass plains and historic farm sheds. .
After Your Ride
Unwind at the beautiful Bangor Vineyard Shed. Set amongst rolling vineyards with views across the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, this award-winning cellar door and restaurant is the perfect place to relax and recharge. Enjoy Bangor's exceptional cool-climate wines and locally sourced produce before returning to Hobart in the late afternoon.

Skill level & fitness

- The rainforest trail is an easy-going, well maintained gravel track, with gentle gradients.
- Fitness level: Basic (it's downhill all the way!)

Itinerary
- Meet at our South Hobart shop for tour briefing, bike fitting, receive helmet, and gloves
- Hop in our shuttle for a 30 minute drive to the summit of Mt Wellington
- 15 minute walkabout at the summit
- After soaking up the epic views, get on your bike and ride 6km down the summit road.
- Then, a second shuttle transports the group (20 minute drive) to the southern side of the mountain, where the guided rainforest ride begins.
- The rainforest ride gently descends 12km along a spectacular forest trail, called the Pipeline Track.
- Guided ride finishes back at our South Hobart shop.
- Allow approximately 4 hours for the complete experience.
